What is Botox?

Botox is a brand name for a neuromodulator. A neuromodulator is a medication that relaxes small muscles and restricts or inhibits their movement. Why? Because, the first and most effective line of defense in wrinkle control is to stop creasing the skin and creating those lines. Treatments are quick and easy, done every 3-4 months.

What are Fillers?

Dermal Fillers are a natural hyaluronic volume building product injected into the lower layers of the skin to build up lost volume or create new volume. There are many brands and types of hyaluronic fillers created for each area and each need. This is what you use to fill the cheeks and plump the lips! Fillers typically last 4-12 months, depending on the volume used and each individual’s metabolism.

Some FAQs

When will I see results?
Botox will take 7-14 days to fully “kick in” and see the true results. Filler results will be immediate but you will see a 1-2 week “swelling period” where the volume will appear to be more and then it settles into a final result.
How often do I need to book?
Botox is done every 3-4 months to maintain results and filler is done every 6-18 months or as necessary
Can I book in a facial on the same day?
After Botox and filler, you can not do another treatment on the same day. You can book in a spa facial on the same day prior to your Botox or filler appointment. After Botox, you may proceed with your regular routines and book in for anything the next day. After fillers, you will want to avoid anything that is rubbing and pressing on the treated area for 2 weeks to allow the desired result to settle in and not be disturbed.
What are the side effects?
The most common side effect with injections is simply a bruise at the site of injection. These are small and can be concealed with makeup. Other side effects are very rare, please read through the consent form and be sure to ask our doctors questions as you would with any mediation.
What am I going to look like when I stop doing Botox?
The same as you did the day you started. You will not look older or have any different appearance. Botox and fillers can take many more months to be fully gone and your fine lines and volume loss will slowly return in a natural time frame.
