Dr. Daniel Gouws has nearly 25 years of experience in cosmetic injections and is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine. He is also an Associate of the Canadian Board of Occupational Medicine, a former president of the Occupational and Environmental Medical Association of Canada, and a Transport Canada Civil Aviation and Marine Medical Examiner.
Originally from South Africa, Dr. Gouws has lived in New Zealand, the UK, and the USA before settling in Canada in the early 1990s. Since 1993, he has been part of the Maple Ridge community, where he and his wife, Kim, raised their four children.
His approach to aesthetic medicine is conservative, honest, and medically grounded. He focuses on natural results, realistic expectations, and treatment plans based on trust, safety, and transparency.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Gouws has studied art, served in the South African Navy, built an ocean-going yacht during medical school, built and flew a home-built aircraft, and is a pilot himself. He enjoys cooking, gardening, art, good food and company, and time with family.
